There is a proper recruitment process for this job as we face in other s**king jobs.Tourism Queensland has found out a new way to promote the Islands of the Great Barrier Reef. As winner you will be experiencing Queensland’s unique and beautiful islands sharing it back to the whole world about the adventures and thus make the tourist curious to have a live experience of those Island.
Great Barrier reef Islands
In a way winner will be taking care of the Island and feeding turtles/fish and other small activity.He will be posting a weekly blog, photo diaries and create video updates to let the world know about the unique experiences available on the Islands of the Great Barrier Reef. There will also be some interviews with members of the media. The contract involves spending six months on Hamilton Island, one of the Islands of the Great Barrier Reef. The Island Caretaker will also travel to other islands and enjoy activities such as sailing, kayaking, snorkelling, diving, picnics, bushwalking and more.

He will stay in a three-bedroom home on Hamilton Island equipped with all modern facilities with access to a computer, internet, digital video and stills camera, plus travel to a number of the Islands of the Great Barrier Reef.

How to apply for this job: You have to upload a short video explaining why you’re the best person for the job and demonstrating your knowledge about the Islands of the Great Barrier Reef. Its must be entertaining and engaging. It can be of 60 seconds long with a file size under 90MB. There’s also a brief application form to fill out. Out of the total applications 50 best applicants are selected .Five things that plays a vital role during selection are:
- English language proficiency
- personal presentation
- technical proficiency as shown in the video
- content and experience
- motivation.
Now the job becomes more tough among 50 best people as you’ll be undergoing a online pyschometric test to make your way in the top 11.Public voting also counts during this stage.A final interview will take place which will decide your fate for World’s Best Job.
Important dates to apply for this job: Every year the online application starts around the month of January and submission date closes around 2-3 week of february.Most of the applications are received from US,Canada,Australia and Britain..The selected winner commence his work on 1st july and his adventorous voyage ends on 1st january of the next year.And yes if you win you can bring your partner/companion with you at your own cost with partial travelling cost paid by Queenslan Tourism. That sounds interesting
